When a project requires a threaded connection off a flat or slightly rounded surface, these 1/8" stainless steel threaded fittings are the ideal part for you.  One end of the couplings is flat with thicker material making them more forgiving when welding onto another stainless steel surface.  Add your plumbed connection for branches off existing plumbing, pressure gauges, etc.

316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Fittings are some of the best quality materials you can use.  316 Stainless Steel contains molybdenum which gives better overall corrosion resistance over more common 304 grade.  It's high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion makes it ideal for chloride environments.  316 marine grade stainless steel weld-on half coupling / bungs / fittings have outstanding welding characteristics and post-weld annealing is not required when welding to thin materials.  TiG welding is the preferred method for attachment of these fittings to flat surfaces, but can be adapted to round.
